Free transportation of Ukrainian citizens

HŽ Putnički prijevoz provides free transport to Ukrainian citizens on all routes in domestic railway traffic of the Republic of Croatia in the 2nd class of trains.

From 1 March 2023, Ukrainian citizens obtain free travel only with a HŽPP smart card with a profile that is purchased at the ticket office at a price of EUR 3 with the presentation of a Ukrainian passport/ID card. You can download a request to create a smart card here.

With a smart card, Ukrainian citizens can pick up a free transport ticket at the ticket office or on the train.
