Tickets with a 40% discount can be purchased at the HŽPP ticket offices and online (passengers receive an additional 10% discount on tickets purchased online). Seat reservation is required for the day train, at a price of 1.06 EUR. The special offer is not applicable to distances shorter than 25 km.
Passengers traveling on night trains can purchase a ticket for a sleeping car, a carriage with beds, or a carriage with seats.
Until 31 December 2025, passengers can choose to travel in a sleeping car or a carriage with beds, and in addition to the ticket price, they pay for the use of a bed or berth at the following prices:
Tickets for berths can be purchased at ticket offices and online, and tickets for beds can be purchased at ticket offices. Passengers who cannot come to the ticket office in person to reserve a seat on the train can send their request to rezervacije@hzpp.hr no later than 48 hours before the journey. It is necessary to specify the date and route of the journey, the number of persons and the number of the train. If passengers travel by night train, it is necessary to indicate whether they intend to travel in a carriage with seats, a carriage with berths or a sleeping car (one-, two- or three-bed compartment). The passenger will receive a pro forma invoice by e-mail, and after the payment has been made, they will receive a ticket that they can print or show to the ticket inspector on the mobile device screen.
Reservation of seats on night trains is optional, and is paid in the amount of 1.06 EUR.

Children, pupils, full-time students, pensioners and persons over 65 years of age ride free of charge with the presentation of a smart card (more information can be found in Free transport), with the obligatory surcharge for seat reservation on day trains on the route Zagreb – Split – Zagreb in the amount of 1.06 EUR. If the specified categories of passengers are riding in night trains in a sleeping car or carriage with berths, the use of a bed or a berth is subject to charges.
Only folding bicycles that are transported as hand luggage can be transported in day and night trains on the route Zagreb – Split – Zagreb.
