In international transport, children can travel for free or with a 50 to 75% discount.
Up to age 6, your child will travel by train free of charge in the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland. Your little ones will travel free of charge in Sweden until they turn 7, and in Belgium until they turn 12. In Luxembourg, public transport is free in 2nd class trains.
Children aged 4 to 11 who travel with an Interrail ticket, children aged 15 or younger who travel to Slovenia with their parents or grandparents as part of the CityStar offer, children aged 6 to 15 who travel to Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia with their parents or grandparents as part of the First Minute Europe offer, and children aged 6 to 14 who travel to Germany with their parents or grandparents as part of the First Minute Europe offer.
